Airport Tarmac and Airside Concrete
Permeable concrete for aprons, hangar hardstands, taxiway edges and airside roads, so rain drains through the pavement instead of running off it.

Advanced concrete solutions for modern construction challenges. Designed, manufactured and installed across Australia.

Every Permcon™ system is engineered for its site. Surface, base preparation and stormwater performance are designed together, with engineering input at every stage.
Our proprietary permeable concrete technology is 100% Australian made, produced under ISO 9001 certified quality management.
Our own crews deliver the installation, with professionals at every pour, from residential driveways to airport tarmacs, in every Australian state.

Australian Permeable Concrete delivers fully designed and installed permeable concrete systems for projects where drainage, durability and compliance matter.
Using proprietary Permcon™ technology, we provide an engineered alternative to conventional hard surfaces by allowing water to pass through the concrete structure and into the prepared base below. The result is a high-performance surface that supports stormwater management, reduces surface runoff and helps projects meet water-sensitive design requirements.
From residential driveways through to commercial developments, council works and civil infrastructure, we manage the complete process: system design, engineering input, proprietary concrete technology, installation and project delivery.

Permeable concrete for aprons, hangar hardstands, taxiway edges and airside roads, so rain drains through the pavement instead of running off it.

Commercial permeable concrete for factories, yards, childcare centres and developments: one surface that carries the traffic and manages the stormwater.

Concrete with the sand left out, poured on site as one continuous slab so rain soaks straight through it into a stone base instead of running off to the drain.

A car park that parks the cars and handles the stormwater in one surface. Poured on site by our own crews, so the bays drain where the rain lands.

Footpaths, shared-use paths and streetscape surfaces that take the rain through the path instead of sending it to the pit, poured on site by our own crews.

One of the few pavements arborists and councils accept inside a tree protection zone, because water and air keep reaching the roots under the poured slab.

Permeable concrete is not intended to be treated as a like-for-like replacement for every standard concrete application. It is an engineered system designed for suitable applications, traffic conditions and drainage requirements. When correctly specified and installed, it can deliver durable performance across residential, commercial, council and infrastructure environments.
Any permeable system requires appropriate design and maintenance. We consider the site environment, surrounding debris load, use case and cleaning requirements when scoping a project. Correct installation and sensible maintenance help protect long-term permeability.
No. We work across residential, commercial, municipal and civil infrastructure projects. The system can be assessed for a wide range of applications, including car parks, footpaths, access areas, public realm works and compliance-heavy project environments.
Permcon is a proprietary system delivered by a specialist Australian provider with certified management systems and project experience across multiple sectors. It is best understood as engineered infrastructure, not decorative paving or a DIY surface.
Permcon is our proprietary permeable concrete system. It is designed to allow water to pass through the concrete surface into the prepared base below, supporting stormwater management and water-sensitive project outcomes.
It is made with carefully graded aggregate and little to no fine sand, creating roughly 15–25% interconnected voids. Rainwater flows through these voids, through a permeable sub-base, and back into the natural water table, rather than pooling on the surface or running off into drains. Designed as part of the broader site solution, that is what manages runoff and supports drainage requirements.
Yes. When correctly designed and installed, permeable concrete carries pedestrian and vehicle loads, from residential driveways through to commercial car parks and heavy-duty civil applications. We assess the conditions, intended load and traffic type on each project before recommending the system design.
Permcon is a proprietary technology delivered as part of a full design and installation service. We manage the system specification, site preparation, installation and project delivery rather than simply supplying a concrete product.
It is low maintenance. Keeping the surface clear of fine sediment, with occasional pressure washing or vacuum sweeping, maintains its permeability over the long term. The right approach depends on the surrounding environment, use case and exposure to sediment or debris.
Permeable concrete has a similar lifespan to traditional concrete. Whilst the exact lifespan depends on the site conditions, design, traffic exposure, installation quality and maintenance. We will scope each project around the expected use and performance requirements. Commonly used permeable concrete areas lifespan can exceed 30+ years.
Driveways, footpaths and pathways, car parks, sports courts, tree protection zones, and a wide range of commercial, civil and public-realm applications. We design each mix and profile to suit the loads and conditions of the site. Suitability is confirmed by project assessment.
We work with homeowners, builders, contractors, developers, councils, government bodies and civil infrastructure clients across Australia.
