Permeable concrete is designed to let water pass through interconnected voids in the concrete surface. Instead of rainwater sitting on top of the slab or rushing directly into stormwater drains, water moves through the concrete and into the base system below.
This makes permeable concrete and porous concrete systems a practical option for projects where runoff control, infiltration and drainage compliance are key design considerations.
