Respect on site
We turn up when we say we will, keep the area tidy, and deal with neighbours, builders and other trades properly. A driveway pour happens in someone's front yard, and we work like we know it.
The team behind Permcon™ and Ultracon. We design the mix, manufacture it and pour it, from our plant in Mitcham to sites in every state.

Australian Permeable Concrete (APC) designs, manufactures and installs permeable concrete. One team from the first site visit to the final cure. Permcon™ is our proprietary permeable concrete system, the no-fines cementitious pavement that lets stormwater pass straight through the slab into a prepared open-graded base. Ultracon is our range of premium permeable resin finishes for surfaces that have to look right as well as drain.
Our crews pour car parks and commercial hardstand, council footpaths and shared paths, residential driveways, sports courts, pool surrounds, road shoulders and tree protection zones, which is one of the few pavements allowed to sit over a root zone. Head office and the plant are at Factory 7, 25-39 Cook Road, Mitcham VIC 3132, with crews servicing every state and Permcon™ work in New Zealand through Permcon NZ. If you want the background on how the business started, that sits on our story.
We are a manufacturer as much as a contractor, and that matters more than it sounds. A permeable mix is a paste-coating balance: enough cement paste to coat every piece of aggregate and hold strength, not so much that it seals the voids and stops the water. Too far either way and you get a weak slab or a pavement that ponds. That is why we don't hand our mix to someone else to place.

We turn up when we say we will, keep the area tidy, and deal with neighbours, builders and other trades properly. A driveway pour happens in someone's front yard, and we work like we know it.
If permeable concrete is the wrong call for a site, we say so before anyone spends money. Strength and infiltration are ranges until we've looked at the ground, and we quote them that way.
Ticketed, trained crews who place this product week in, week out. Training and safety are line items in the job, not something we get to later.
The real measure is how the pavement performs in five years. Still draining, still flat, still meeting the requirement the council signed off on.
We keep developing mixes and finishes, and we test them before they go anywhere near a client's slab. New is only useful if it holds up.
Documented processes, recorded work, and a finish we're happy to be judged on once the formwork comes off.

APC holds three ISO certifications, and they cover the parts of the job clients and specifiers ask about most.
We're also a Master Builders Victoria member, and Permcon™ is Australian made: designed, manufactured and installed here. If your tender pack needs certificates or supporting documentation, ask us and we'll send them through.

Permeable concrete for aprons, hangar hardstands, taxiway edges and airside roads, so rain drains through the pavement instead of running off it.

Commercial permeable concrete for factories, yards, childcare centres and developments: one surface that carries the traffic and manages the stormwater.

Concrete with the sand left out, poured on site as one continuous slab so rain soaks straight through it into a stone base instead of running off to the drain.

A car park that parks the cars and handles the stormwater in one surface. Poured on site by our own crews, so the bays drain where the rain lands.

A durable, attractive driveway that drains where it stands, giving you practical access and on-site stormwater management in one engineered surface.

Footpaths, shared-use paths and streetscape surfaces that take the rain through the path instead of sending it to the pit, poured on site by our own crews.

Send us the site plan, the council condition you're working to, or a photo of the area. We'll tell you what's workable.
Get in touch today to discuss your project. We're here to help with all your permeable concrete requirements, from a single driveway to major civil infrastructure.
