About Australian Permeable Concrete, in plain terms
Our own crews place Permcon at 500 m² and more a day. That's the last step. Australian Permeable Concrete (APC) invented the product, and before anything is poured we design the pavement for your site, working out the slab and base depths and where the water ends up once it's through the surface.

Where you'll find our work
Permcon has gone down in New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Italy and the USA. At home it goes into council paths, because rain on a path has to go somewhere other than the kerb and the side-entry pit. In a car park, the clean screenings under the slab hold water, which shrinks the detention tank the site would otherwise need.
Sports courts go down too, some with artificial turf laid over the slab. Shared driveways on public housing across Victoria have become our biggest repeat job, and the detail goes in through most of the state's panel builders.
How we work with you
If you're the engineer
Strength, infiltration, base storage and the estimated axle loads by thickness (5.8 t at 125 mm, for one) come in writing, so you check rather than trust.
If you're a builder
Draw the shared-driveway detail once and it goes down the same way on every lot after that.
If you're a council
Paths and bus stops can sit inside tree protection zones, and the upkeep is a monthly look and a yearly sweep.

Permcon is Australian made, with 7 mm aggregate in Victoria and 10 mm in every other state, and it carries a P4 slip rating. At Australian Permeable Concrete we hold ISO 9001 for quality. ISO 14001 covers environmental management and ISO 45001 covers health and safety. We're also members of Master Builders Victoria.
