The same product you spec as permeable or pervious concrete
No fines concrete, permeable concrete, pervious concrete and porous concrete are one material: a no-fines mix where the paste coats each stone and the gaps between stones join into a connected void network, 20 to 26 per cent of the slab by volume.
Ours is the Permcon system. One supplier for mix design, batching, delivery and placement, so the void structure that was designed is the void structure that gets screeded, and there is one accountable party if it is not.
Where the water goes
Field infiltration runs 130 to 170 litres per minute per square metre through the finished surface, with independent project testing on a VicRoads job recording 9,400 millimetres per hour. The slab itself detains 28 to 56 litres per square metre inside its voids, which is detention your stormwater calculations can use.
Runoff coefficient around 0.3 against near-1 for sealed pavement, and roughly 70 per cent of common surface pollutants filtered before water reaches the base.

Specifying no fines concrete
The mix is cement, water and single-sized coarse aggregate, dosed so the paste coats each stone without filling the voids. We run 10 millimetre aggregate in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, and 7 millimetre in Victoria and Tasmania, reflecting local quarry products. Standard mixes place at 20 to 25 MPa for driveways, car parks and paths, with higher-strength trafficable mixes available where the design calls for them.
The build-up does half the work
The slab sits on an open-graded stone base sized to the job: as a soakage bed where the subgrade takes water, or as a detention layer with controlled release where it does not. Subgrades from CBR 5 up are workable with the right build-up. Clay sites are normal work; the base is designed as storage and the discharge rate is controlled, rather than assuming soakage.
Supply and install, one party
We do not sell the mix alone. No fines concrete lives or dies on placement: over-compact it and the voids close, under-compact it and strength suffers. Our crews place it as one continuous run with control joints cut in, so the material and the workmanship carry one warranty.
